Work together

Members and roles

Let other people work in your account, by their GitHub user name.

Roles

Viewer
Sees projects, deployments, logs, metrics, variable names and the audit log.
Developer
The same, and the day-to-day work: deploy, roll back, start and stop; change settings, variables, services, jobs and domains; back up a database; create a branch environment.
Owner
Everything else: create and delete projects, databases, Redis and storage; restore a backup; tokens, policies, notifications and members.

Adding someone

Settings → Members. They sign in with their own GitHub account and switch to yours from the account menu. Removing a member or changing a role takes effect on their next click, and the audit log names who did each thing.

Know before you rely on it

  • A developer chooses what is deployed and how it starts, so treat a developer as someone who can read every secret of the account's projects.
  • Roles apply to the whole account, not per project.
  • There is one owner. Ownership cannot be transferred yet.
  • During the preview, the person must also have been invited to the platform.
