Docker images
Run a public image as it is, with no repository: a tool someone else publishes, or your own image from a registry.
Creating one
New project → Deploy a public Docker image, or:
arrah projects create --image nginx:alpine --port 80 --deploy
- Image
name:tagorregistry/owner/name:tag- Registries
- Docker Hub, ghcr.io, quay.io, gcr.io, public.ecr.aws, registry.gitlab.com, mcr.microsoft.com, registry.k8s.io
- Port
- The one you set, else the single port the image declares, else 8080.
- Largest image
- 4 GB
Good to know
- Public images only. There is no place for registry credentials yet.
- It runs in the same sandbox as every application and gets the project's variables, database, Redis and storage like any project.
- Deploy again to pull a newer image under the same tag. Rollback works as usual.
- What the image writes to its own disk is lost on the next deployment. Keep data in a database, Redis or file storage — or add a permanent disk for the directory it writes to.
- There is nothing to follow, so no automatic deploys, branch environments or pull request previews.
